Nomaan K. Husain, Shareholder

Mr. Nomaan K. Husain is a Shareholder and Chair of the Litigation Group of Young & Husain, PLLC. He maintains a diverse practice and has represented clients ranging from foreign governments to individual business owners.

Mr. Husain has been involved in representing the governments of several countries including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan. Mr. Husain has also represented clients based abroad in various countries such as Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Pakistan, Indonesia, India, and Cameroon. Mr. Husain is Board Certified in Personal Injury Litigation by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Husain is currently a Director in the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas Grievance Panel, a member of the College of the State Bar, Vice-chair of the Ethics Commission for the City of Houston, a member of the Multi-million dollar advocates' forum, a member of the FBI Community Liaison Committee. Mr. Husain has also served as the Vice President of the Houston Trial Lawyer's Association and was the former commissioner for Building and Standards Commission for the City of Houston.

Mr. Husain is licensed to practice in Texas, New York, the District of Columbia, and is a licensed solicitor in England and Wales. He is also licensed to appear before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Federal Court for the Northern District of Texas, U.S. Federal Court for the Southern District of Texas, U.S. Federal Court for the Western District of Texas, U.S. Federal Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the Texas Supreme Court, State of New York, and the District of Columbia. Mr. Husain is a certified Mediator and has successfully represented his clients in both State and Federal Courts. He is also a member of the International Bar Association, and the London Court of International Arbitration.

Mr. Husain graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with B.A. in Political Science (1995) and South Texas College of Law (J.D., 1999) Mr. Husain was the Articles and Notes Editor of International Trade Law Journal and clerked for the Honorable Scott Link.

Mr. Husain speaks several languages including English (Native); Urdu/Hindi (Native).

Stephen Kang started his law practice in San Diego, CA, working with mainly international companies in the shipping and construction industries. Later he moved to Houston, Texas, and joined Jones Roland & Young representing oil & gas industries.

In 1999, forming Young & Husain LLP near the Galleria center of Houston, Texas, he handled many mergers & acquisition cases for Korean, Indonesian and European companies often concentrated in the energy and petrochemical fields.

Currently he travels between California and Texas and manages the Young & Husain Los Angeles and Orange County offices.

*Represented Aalborg Industries and DaeKyung Technos in the power plant industry.

Johnnie Carter, III, Associate

Johnnie Carter, III is originally from Buffalo, NY where he graduated from the University of Buffalo with a bachelors degree in Psychology. He relocated to Houston, TX to attend Thurgood Marshall Law School. Having previously worked for 6 years as an insurance adjuster, he has extensive experience in the field of personal injury. He is now employed as an associate of Young & Husain, P.L.L.C., where he works mainly as a personal injury attorney. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Houston Young Lawyers Association.


Judge Scott Link*

Mr. Scott Link is the owner of the Law Offices of Scott Link where he specializes in commercial litigation. His clients range from Fortune 500 companies to pro bono work for individuals.

Mr. Link attended the University of Texas in Austin and the University of Houston. He graduated from South Texas College of Law where he was a Justice of the Honor Court, an author of the Honor Code and recipient of Am Jur Awards for Excellence in Educational Achievement.

Mr. Link is licensed to practice in the State amd Federal Courts of the state of Texas as well as the United States Court of Claims. He is board certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He was also elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates in 2003.

Mr. Link retired from the 80th Texas State District Court in 2003 after serving 11 years in that capacity. He received numerous awards and accolades including the 1997 Texas Trial and Appellate Specialists „Trial Judge of the Year‰. During his tenure on the Bench, Mr. Link was the Master Asbestos Judge for Harris County, Texas, from 1995-2002. He also served as chairman of the Mass Tort Committee for the Board of District Judges from 1997-2000 and was Co-Chair of the Board of District Judges Breast Implant Committee from 1998-2000. From 1996-1999, Mr. Link was an Adjunct Professor at South Texas College of Law where he taught Civil Trial Advocacy.

Mr. Link has published numerous papers and articles in the areas of Mass Torts, Challenges to Experts, Tort Reform, Evidence, Trial Techniques, Jury Charge and Injunctions.

Since retiring from the Bench in 2003, Mr. Link served on the Liaison Committee to the Texas State Silica Multi-District Litigation and the Liaison Committee to the Texas State Asbestos Multi-District Litigation. He vigorously represents persons and companies in State and Federal Courts throughout the nation. He also has represented numerous clients before Arbitrators and Arbitration Committees. Mr. Link has also been appointed as an arbitrator on several cases and is a certified mediator.

Mr. Link is currently a Fellow in the Houston Bar Foundation and Texas Bar Foundation and a member of the Special Olympics Committee.

Mr. Link and his wife Susan are active in their church and community organizations and are the proud parents of six children.

Mr. Calehr is the founding partner of Calehr and Associates. Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Calehr was a bankruptcy attorney with the law firm of Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP. Mr. Calehr has extensive International experience both in the private as well as public sector. Before working as an attorney Mr. Calehr served as a Corporate Communications Manager for PT. Pramindo Ikat Nusantara, where he developed corporate communications policies for this $440 million dollar multinational and World Bank sponsored company providing telecommunications service to Sumatra, Indonesia. He was also a news anchor, reporter and translator with The English News Service Program at TVRI, Indonesia‚s nationwide state-run TV-network. Mr. Calehr practices Immigration Law, Bankruptcy Law, Corporate Law, Admiralty and Maritime Law, Personal Injury, Family Law and Criminal Defense.
